I can get into an Audi A4 for example, and drive it around for half-an hour or so (though if manual my knees will be hitting the dashboard) before it starts getting very uncomfortable. However, the C-Class Mercedes (which I have at the moment) is truly roomy for tall people. In fact it is the only car I have ever driven where my thighs are actually supported by the seat - usually on other makes my legs are so angled that the squab offers no support. BMW 3 series is ok but not as good as Merc. My question is really where the Saab falls in the range. FWDs tend to have narrower and shorter footwells than RWDs, and it is this which rules most of them out for me.
