That's very interesting. I'll check the rack ASAP. I've found evidence around the front end of the car that may indicate the previous owner hit something and/or drove over something with the left side of the car. I'm thinking they drove over something like a curb at speed. If that doesn't jolt the joints and rack, I don't know what will. I suspect my dealer was simply checking the usual indications like ripped ball joint booties, wear on the tires, and trying to manually shake the tires. I doubt they got in close to the rack.
