Hi Jane, The roof does not move by pushing it, this is because the motors work on a worm gear. they need to turn to be able to move the roof. as they ren't turning, pushing it will do nothing. as you say there is about 3cm of movement on the side which is giving you a problem this means there must be something causing it to jam (lego) does the display say anything with regards to the top? I had the strap for the inner roof catch on the tonneau cover, and not wanting to spend a fortune at the dealer, I looked at it myself and worked out quite a bit about the workings of the roof There are little microswitches on each side of the roof that have a clip which clips into a grove on the roof, it would seem over time that this poped out of the grove and my roof would not work took about 4 hours of head scratching to work that one out. where abouts are you located??
