Depending on the age of the wires, cap, and rotor, (if they're original), I'd say replace them anyway. It might not be this particular problem, but it's quite likely that it is. Even if not, if you're planning to keep the car for a while, it needs doing to prevent this sort of problem in the near-ish future. Dave Hinz
