How can it truly be established the belts weren't changed? service record between 30k - 45k. No record of change. Serpintine belt done at 30k. This sounds surprising to me. they day they have no liablility because the 35k service was not done at 35k, when replacement would have been free. I content that, as as was still working at 45k when it was brought in, owners were just damned lucky up to then. And SAAB service hould have made it very clear a belt was needed, free or not, or it would be nuts & bolts. AND celarly it had not been replaced up till then as customer requested "35k service" - which was signed off by dealer.
