Subject: 9000 Aero cutting out

I have a 97 9000 Aero with 50,000 miles. It has a larger dump valve. Apart from an ITG air filter, there are no other engine mods. 1 month ago, it stopped accelerating into the red on the APC, and was sluggish. I put the original dump valve back, and it cut out under HARD acceleration. It then carried on, giving the impression of a kangaroo hop at 75 mph. (very cool). This happened in every gear, and at various revs, but only happened when I "floored" it. I went to my local Saab main dealer, who put a brand new dump valve in, and it only cut out 1 in 5 times. They said I have overboost ? I put my old performance dump valve back, and it now whistles, before cutting out It still has overboost under hard acceleration, but its fine under normal acceleration. The fuel is also down to 300 miles per tank. I have been in touch, but the main dealer have no idea, and want the car for 2 days to run tests. I have just lost my job, so any ideas would be appriciated, as I cannot afford £60 + per hour for Saab to diagnose this. Many thanks. Ian (UK) 97 Imola red 9000 Aero
