Welcome Virgilturtle and congratulations on your new SAAB! I can't answer your question about the engine not shutting off since I've never had that happen, but if you ask on the "classic 900" bulletin board over at www.saabnet.com I know you'll get an answer in no time. That by the way is the greatest resource I've found for SAAB info. While you're there, check their site sponsors for SAABDEPOT and EEuroparts. I've done business with both of them and they're excellent. Turnsignal.... time for a new switch. Not a huge job but be prepaired to spend a couple hours. Switches.... I just went to a local junkyard and pulled a couple myself and replaced the ones in my car. They're just held in by friction, just grab and pull straight out.
