The baby seat is then belted from the back down to the round bar that runs under the rear seat. In addition you need to use the middle waist belt to tighten the baby seat to the rear seat of the car. However, the best way is of course to place the baby seat in the reverse direction in the front passenger seat (disconnecting any airbag!). IIRC these principles have been very successful Sweden where we haven't had any baby (properly seated?) killed in the traffic for the past five years. -- someguy
