Any Saab may be a classic in the near future. GM is not willing to carry Saab. They have set financial numbers for Saab which are not being met. The Wall Street Journal announced GM had plans for a 10% reduction in the Saab workforce, but it was still losing $400 million a year, although better than the $700 million loss in the previous year. If the bean counters have their way, there may not be a Saab in the future. Some of the reasons given was Saab has only an expensive two model product line that is facing stiff competition.
