Condensation, perhaps? We've had some pretty muggy weather here over the last few days. After only one day standing, I took my 1985 900i down the road for a fill-up yesterday and found that it ran like crap once I re-started it at the petrol station. The temperature gauge indicated that the car was warm, but not at optimum running temperature. At low revs (in first, second and changing to third) the power was completely gone, almost like there was no compression. From idle at around <500 RPM, a whole lot of flooring and clutch-slipping seemed the only way to "push" it through. Once I had experienced that, I didn't dare let the car return to idle and keeping over 2,000 RPM seemed to be the only solution. It's bad for the car, I know, but I really needed to get home :) After a couple of miles pleading with the car on the long climb home it seemed okay. I tried it a little later and it ran fine. This did happen to me once before with exactly the same weather conditions. Cold, wet and foggy. Andy, if you've not set off yet, go for a short run (say, 2-3 miles) and re-assess the situation from there. Good luck. Paul 1985 900i 16V 1989 900 Turbo S http://pjgh.go.dyndns.org/saab/index.html
