Yes - makes it softer and less likely to crack any more FWIW I use Connolly's Hide Food - designed for saddles and things, but as they make car seatr as well it seems reasonable. (Also use it on the leather furniture at home) Much cheaper than the rip-off car specific stuff like Autoglym. Buy it from any farming/horsey type place.
