I will guess you are in the States... I have an 87 9000S. It has the 2.0L engine and fewer electronics, but a 9000 is a 9000. The tensioner pulley is a weak spot. Glad you did not get hurt. You should check it every 30,000 miles at a minimum. I had to replace my two pulleys some time ago. Mine has a pulley for the serpentine and one for the A/C. The pulleys and belts are not that hard to replace yourself. Get a Haynes manual. The rear wiper motor is a choice you will have to make. I would look at salvage yards for a used motor and save money. Valve cover gaskets are not that hard to replace. I did mine year before last. I ordered my gasket from sobstory.com. all you need is some RTV silicone and a good ratchet and socket to remove the valve cover bolts. Take your time and use the RTV sparingly. Save yourself some money. On your brake rotors. In most cases you can turn them once before having to replace them. I did my 87 9000S in 2000 for $250, new rotors and pads all the way around. Make sure you don't over torque wheel bolts and you should not have a problem warping your rotors...no more than 85 ft. lbs.
