Subject: Re: check engine

The clear button doesn't do anything for the check engine light. That has to be reset by the mechanic. The last time I had my 900 SE in for service, I asked about whether I could reset the check engine light myself, and I was told I couldn't. All I have been able to use the clear button for is to remove the false warning about engine coolant low and the nagging display that shows up when a service is due. But perhaps not all 900s have these digital displays. Malcolm W.
