I've had 10 or so cars over the years and I'm back in a SAAB... my 3rd one. I sold my first 900 with 190,000 miles on it and my second one with 310,000 (actually my partner sold it to someone he works with and they're still driving it). I currently own a 97 900 Turbo 5 door. More than likely my next car will be another SAAB. Are they the most reliable cars on the road? Thats difficult to say as I believe it all comes down to maintenance. Follow the maintenance schedule and the car will live a long and happy life. Also, check the discussion boards at www.saabnet.com, there's a wealth of help and information over there. IMO the new Jag dosen't do anything for me. Yes it's nicely styled but in that Toyota-used-bar-of-soap way. BMWs are done to death. Here in Atlanta they're even used as taxi cabs by some of the independants. I like the styling of the new 9-3 sedan. It dosen't just sit there like a lump, to me it has an "aggressive" edge to it that seems to be missing from the other marques. Whatever you buy..... life is too short to drive a boring car. Enjoy. J > How have you found your Saab to be in the reliability dep't.? Everything I hear is > either a laundry list of "Saab (sob) stories", or "I've put 200,000 on it and I'm > ready to put another 200,000 on it". There seems to be little in between! > Thanks again for the reply.
