I've never owned a Saab, but test drove the '02 9-3, and found there was far less turbo lag than I expected - virtually none, in fact. One of the problems may be coming from the fact that the Aero is a V6? If it is, what I've heard from sales people is that the 6 cylinder is a GM block, put only into North American cars. Apparently, GM felt that Americans are too hung up on the # of cylinders, and needed to field a V6 in order to attract buyers looking for more horsepower (even though the V6 delivers a paltry 10 hp over the 2.0 L 4 cylinder). I doubt I have to remind any Saab owners that a GM powerplant almost has to be seriously inferior to a genuine Saab motor. Given this, I think the problem is not in the Aero per se, but simply the choice of engines. I can't believe there's going to be that significant a difference in turbo lag between the 9-3 and the 9-5 models. It simply doesn't make sense, unless it's a difference in the engines itself, which is what I suspect. -- The Conquistador http://www.Footballguys.com http://www.NewsgroupFantasyLeagues.com "Nothing speaks for the arrogance of Man more than the notion he is alone in the Universe"
