Thanks huys for all the advice. I called a Saab dealership and they've quoted almost 400 pounds to replace blower motor and resistor. I then had a word with my local garage and they recommended just replacing the resistor which I have sourced for 5 pounds. If it need a new blower motor also I can get one for 25 pounds. Dealerships!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doug.
