I was doing some oil changing yesterday since the temperature had warmed up to a balmy 8 degrees. (The good news is that you can lay on the snow in the driveway and you don't get wet since it's too cold for anything to melt.) Anyway... I use Mobil 1 5-30 in my more recent car, dino 5-30 in my ancient car. There is no question that the Mobil1 was thinner at 8 degrees than the dino. Shouldn't they be the same ? Or is the 5w testing conducted at some higher temp ? Bob
