They'll cost the same, or less, compared to your summer tires... while you're driving, you're either wearing one set, or the other. So, every month you wear out (x) dollars worth of tire. Since you're going to be using up tires no matter when you drive, why not use up a tire that's made for the conditions you're driving in? Snow tires don't cost any more to own, because what you spend on wearing them out, you save on not wearing out your summer tires. Dave Hinz
