In article <BA785A8E.3B50%pjghnopsamyonder.co.uk>, pjghnopsamyonder.co.uk spouted forth into alt.autos.saab... > http://www.netma.fi/jouko/saab/ shows how to do it under the performance > section. This crazy guy has a computer in his Saab which does some engine > monitoring. I can see the cogs in Carl's brain going round ... I've seen Joukos site. And I'm a member of the boards at mp3car.com (that was where I found Joukos Saab). I already had plans for a CarPC, originally to go in the estelle, then the Favorit, but the space under the subfloor of the Saab boot is just so tempting, and under the back seat. > Carl (I'm grinning mate, so don't flame) - why not go the whole hog and cut > a hole in the bonnet to house the cone behind a scoop. Couple that with a > big bore exhaust, an atmospheric dump valve and a massive amplifiication > cone around it and you'll have yourself a Scoob killer :) Boooorrrreee ... > Phooosh ... Boooorrrreee ... Phooosh ... It does scare the hell out of cats. I want to keep it relatively stealthy. Eventually I hope to have roar of a good induction kit, and the bellow of a straight through stainless system (the original split so he replaced it with mild steel). I already have a bit of a scooby scarer. They have upwards of a 3rd to twice the power, but they also have to drive another set of wheels, plus the mechaincal losses of an AWD system, so as long as the road is dryish, and I'm already rolling, they are a fair target. 3 series Beermers just get left for dead. Especially if I'm doing 60-70 over taking in the 3rd lane. They come up behind, sit right on your bumper, so I slow just enough for a nice big gap to appear, but not long enough for someone to use it. Wait for them to start to look pissed off in the mirror, then floor it and leave them for dead. gets boring after a bit. -- Carl Robson (The poster formerly known as Skodapilot) http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
