All round adequate I'd say and outstanding in no particular area. Only had it a few months and it's at 60k miles so can't make much comment on reliability. No major work has been needed in its time. It's a rougher engine than the VAG diesels but economical and sufficiently muted when cruising. The power is plenty sufficient for everyday driving but you don't buy a diesel to compete with petrol turbos and the low speed torque makes up for a lot. The handling is a bit soft and woolly after the c900 t16S but seems fairly safe. The cabin and seats are pretty comfortable although footwell room is not generous and lack of space for oddment and CD stowage is an irritation. I'm happy that my wife uses it most of the time - she was insistent on getting another Saab and I don't think I'll ever come to really enjoy it like the old t16s. I don't find it a car that encourages me to drive fast or corner on the limit but then the old carburettor basic c900 had that effect too. Instead, I play economy games with the fuel consumption computer. With careful driving, freewheeling downhill etc motorway cruising at 70-75mph has allowed 47-48mpg (imp). Maintenance by a Saab dealer would be expensive but I don't intend to go that route. I assume you mean 140k kilometres which is not as bad as miles and shouldn't, I think, be a worry provided there is a good maintenance history. However at about that kind of mileage bushes, bearings and so on can start to make their wear apparent. Chas
