I have never, ever, seen any kind of legitimate true message that had that kind of wording in it. Please. Do some research before passing this sort of stuff on. It may be well intentioned, but it's false. The only effect of people following it is to use up their energies in something that doesn't help, rather than something that would (like checking the pressure in their tires, which actually helps reduce gas consumption).
