I have a 1996 900SE, with the 2 liter four cylinder engine. A month or so after I bought it, the dealer said I should have the fan belt (or whatever the correct term is) and the tensioners changed. Since that was done, I have a slight buzzing under acceleration, although it was not there before. Perhaps this belt and/or tensioners is the source of your problem. As for me, the buzzing noise isn't annoying enough to have the problem checked out, particularly when I consider what Saab repairs typically cost.
