Subject: Buzzing Noise in 99 9-3 Convertible???

In December, I purchased a 1999 9-3 Convertible with slightly less than 30,000 miles on it. From almost the day that I purchased it, I have noticed a whine/buzzing noise (more of a buzz, actually) from the engine compartment - sometimes during acceleration, sometimes during coasting, sometimes on cruise. It is almost never consistent, however, which is the maddening thing. I've never owned a turbo before. Is that "normal" for Saab turbo engines, or do you think this is indicative of a problem - large or small? Said another way, are there other owners of this same car that don't hear a whine/buzzing noise? Of course, I took it to the dealership, and they indicated they didn't find any problems when I had the 30,000 mile big $$$ checkup. Your wise assistance and advice is greatly appreciated... -D
