Top speed is somewhat less at 120mph. The 8V is no doubt more pokey at the bottom end and certainly has more lift, if you can keep hold of it, through the bottom gears. The top speed is of debate though. I'm sure I have read in my manual that the 8V has a top speed of 130 MPH, but now I look for it I can't find a top speed listed for any variant. I've had my Orca at almost 140 MPH with more to go (I won't say where, of course), but I would normally say 130 MPH was its top speed since the tyres are only V rated (130 MPH). Paul
