When the antenna goes up, it's not a bug, it's a feature. It seems like nobody in this discussion remembers that the RDS function needs the antenna at all times. You'll lose the traffic messages and PTY news broadcasts if you don't provide a radio signal even when you're playing your tapes or CDs. Saab already solved the problem for those of us who don't remember to bring a separate walkman to the car wash: The radio antenna on the Saab 9-5 (and maybe the new 9-3?) is integrated in the rear window - in fact you can't distinguish the antenna from the demister threads. Nothing sticks out at all (except for the stupid looking mini sharkfin mobile antenna on the new models). -- Leif Tangen, Svelvik, Norway 1976 96L V4 1977 99 GLS 1986 900i 1992 900i 2,1 Griffin 1998 900S 1999 9-5 2,0t
