Well, my name is Hinz and I post from a news host in Germany, but my family tree is full of Johannessen, Gulbrandsen, Andreassen, Olsen, Paalsen, Haakensen, and any other -sen you can think of. I've got a ton of ancestors in Hedmark (Ringsaker and surroundings), and another group up near Trondheim. I even have a friend (and possibly relative here) named Even Eric, although he's second or third generation American. In parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota, even the old patronymic system is followed (but used for the middle name). Off-topic, sure, but that happens here from time to time. Dave Hinz
