I can't see a vac leak causing oil pressure to fluctuate, but it's quite normal for the oil pressure to go up and down - why wouldn't it? > 3. A complete beginner should be able to do it in 20 minutes. In theory, you shouldn't use any sealant; the rubber seal does all the sealing. In practice, I like to use polyurethane on both sides (as well as the seal), because they always start weeping otherwise. RS do some good polyurethane by Loctite. Although torque specs are available for the cam cover, I must admit I never bother. I just tighten the bolts 'snug'. All you need is a ratchet and socket. Make sure you clean both surfaces meticulously using meths. -- Grunff
