Subject: Re: 2003 9-3 in snow?

You will have to hear from someone who drives a 9-3 in the snow. I have only driven Classic 900s in the snow, with and without winter tires. I have been told by Saab technicians that the Classic 900 with the back to front engine position is better in the snow than the 9000, with the more traditional transverse engine mount. The Classic 900 is perfectly controllable in the snow, great for playing. I tested the brakes and steering in an empty parking lot and found the only way to put it in a slide with all season tires was to lock up rear wheels with the parking brake. Try this in a snow covered parking lot that is clear of obstacles with the 9-3. You will find out how it handles in the snow - before you buy! tom wrote: > > I test drove a 2003 9-3 Linear today and thought it was great, BUT > I live in Colorado and we see our share of bad weather.
