Well, if GM gets their way and strongarms Fuji Heavy Industries into forcing Subaru to lend the WRX to SAAB, there may be a hatch in the future. I'm not sure of the status of the SAAB/Impreza relationship since the initial story, but I know that Subaru aren't too happy with it. SAAB did eat a bunch of retard sandwiches though. Their hatch _IS_ their image. Not one person says to themselves 'ooooh, that new 9-5 defines SAAB'. The hatch is, and always will be, SAABs image. Sure, bring in the option to have a saloon on all model lines, but leave the hatch option as well. For the price that the SAAB dealer was willing to sell me one at, I don't think they'll be around much longer. Christ, I coulda gotten a nicely spec'd 9-3 for less, after tax, than a Grand AM GT. That's pathetic. JamesC "Ric" <spamnopsamcom> wrote in message news:b4sca7$ahl$1nopsam-reader11.wanadoo.fr... > Is there going to be a hatchback version of the new 9-3? If so, when in > Europe? >
