Subject: Scott at Saabnet.com isn't up for his job.
Hi all.
I've recently experienced big problems with Saabnet.com. I've within the
last 3-4 years used the forums quite a lot. Both ways, that is. I've had
long and interesting discussions with other Saab owners across the world
(internet).
The problem: I've recently changed my internet supplier. Scott over at
Saabnet.com, has made some "house rules". These include prohibition of
posting adds and obsenities (spelling) in the forums. All in all is this
okay. I see however, huuuge problems in the handling of these "house rules".
I've seen people being banned, just because Scott thought they were
offensive, when in reality they didn't mean to. The major problem is however
this:
As mentioned, I've changed my internet supplier. Now, I find out that
someone in the past, using the same internet supplier, has violated the
"house rules", maybe by posting an add. This again means that Scott is
banning everybody from that particula supplier - including me. I should
mention that my internet supplier is Denmarks second largest with well over
100,000 users. This means that a great deal of people here in Denmark is
completely banned from Saabnet.com. All this due to the fact that one single
individual at some point in time has made a mistake.
I've contacted Scott, but all I meet is a superior attitude, here's his last
answer to my request about getting admittance:
Probably wait for your communication skills to get better, I think. I have a
lot of other folks asking for my help and being mature and civil about it.
Once I catch up, I'll revisit your issue.
-Scott
I'm rather chocked about this reply. I mean, is this guy for real? How can a
guy, running a site, exclude hundreds of thousands of people, simply because
ONE person, makes a mistake. Wouldn't it be better to set these very few
people straight, that don't comply with the rules?
As it is now, I can only suggest that people boycot Saabnet.com and use some
of all the other great Saab forums out there.
Regards and your comments are welcome.
