Right now, I think there are a few CVT's in North America: Audi offers it in its FWD convertible A4's as well as A4 hardtops. (1.8T I4 and 3.0L V6) Nissan has it as standard on the Murano "crossover" SUV (3.5L V6) The Mini Base has it as an option Toyota Prius Hybrid is standard Honda Civic Hybrid HX as an option Honda Insight Hybrid as an option Saturn Vue (2.2L I4) From what I understand we'll be seeing more of them. I hear that the biggest problem is "powerboating" - where the revs increase quickly without the car moving quickly like a powerboat moving form a start. Still manual mileage and performance will be good to offer to people who would get automatics. As a techie I also think it is Kewl.
