You can run Linux on your > Apple. Quality isn't really much different. Same basic components are used; memory, hard drive, graphics card, USB, AGP, PCI ect. PC has faster processors. The main attraction is the MacOS, it could probably run on a PC if Apple would allow it. The hardware is just a container. I have used many different systems in my life, I wouldn't mind a Mac if someone would give me one. I enjoyed using an DEC Alpha & VMS, a really solid system you only get from dedicated manufacturer. But prices were a factor 10. Johannes
