There are still legitimate reasons for disconnecting your air bag though. See this page for more info: http://www.nhtsa.org/airbags/ Many newer vehicles are equipped with a simple key switch to shut off the passenger side airbag. To do it "officially" in the USA, you have to file a form with the NHTSA. I noticed that Saab is not listed as having a manufacturers device to do this. Bob
