Subject: Removing Rear View Mirror (was Forward Visibility and Tall Drivers )

Thanks for the replies to my previous post. Yes, the C900 was a great car, and side visibility was better than the NG900, but I'm looking for something more modern. I spent a long time last night in the NG adjusting seat positions (with seat down as far as it would go). Let's assume that the visibility with the stock mirror was acceptable, but I wanted to make things better for me. Is it difficult to remove the stock mirror and attachment stem and stick a basic mirror to the blacked-out portion of the windshield? Does removing the stock mirror leave an unsightly hole? Is the black paint on the windshield on the inside surface of the windshield, or is it inside the glass (if the former, it might be difficult to get good adhesion)? _________________ Messages sent to the address in the header will be ignored.
