Subject: 9-5 Suspension / Tire Upgrades

Hi, I am a new owner of a used 2000, Saab 9-5 and would like to improve the handling of the car with suspension and tires upgrades. I am not intending to race or rally but want the car to handle well at speed on the local mountain roads and HWYs (Santa Cruz, CA). I am used to a little firmer ride with less float (my previous car was a Alfa Romeo Milano). I have the stock 16 inch wheels and tires (Michelin Energy MXV4) and want to replace them with a better all weather tire that will have better than average performance and low road noise. I am assuming that the biggest gains will come from new tires and anti sway bars but am open to shock and strut replacements as well. Anybody out there with a 9-5 that has done any suspension tweaks? I want to tighten up the handling but not make it too harsh. Thanks in advance for any advice. Best regards, Will
