What's great about the aftermaket/used Saab market on Ebay is in addition to the marketing of the car, people also market/advertise maticulous maintanence of their car. I'm not talking about 3K oil changes...I'm talking about timing belt replacement, rotors, major tune up, replacement of everything from trannys to engines. Lots of Saab owners, people like the passionate owners in the ng, sell their Saabs on Ebay. It's easy to authenticate a car that's been maintained in direct compliance per Saabs standards. It's easy to see and receive faxed receipts of major work performed and authenticate the shop that did the work and their reputation/knowledge. Example. Today, 5/3, go to Ebay and plug a Search for item # 2412935385. '96 Saab 900 SE Turbo 4D, Loaded, 103K miles, $4,152.00 was the selling price. Note how one of the major advertising aspects to the car is that is has "all service records from day one" from the Saab dealer....every scheduled service done on time per the book! This is very easy to authenticate and verify and to me extremely meaningful in terms of directly speaking to "value", especially when buying a used Saab. Now $4K for this car is a great great great deal folks. Again, there are lots of used Saabs out there available that were owned by folks just like the passionate folks on this NG. Ebay's a great place were you can find them and I have no problem buying a used Saab with 100K miles on it if it has been like this one example I have illustrated, perfectly maintained by the Saab dealer. I see lots of Saabs like this on Ebay....
