Subject: Re: '97 900: coolant leak (frost plug?) and dead tach/boost gauge

My 96 9000CS had a similar problem, 2-3 cups of coolant per week this went on for most of the winter, I was worried that my dhead gasket was leaking. But it was the water pump. The water pump seal started to fail and the fluid would exit through the water pump "weep" hole. This "weep" hole allows you to see that the seal is starting to fail and the pump needs replacement. My mechanic solved the problem for $ 275.00, (new pump). "Rob" <onerpmnopsamo.com> wrote in message news:44a41d1c.0305141031.48d4b4nopsaming.google.com... > Any thoughts appreciated.
