There's not a lot of sidewall on a 17" tire (there's already precious little on a 16" for everyday driving). > >also get lowering springs > Definitely get some adjustable Koni shocks first, front and rear. You won't be disappointed. I'll go so far as to guarantee it. If you like, you can change the springs too. The labor is the same for springs and shocks or just shocks so it's best to do them both at the same time if you're inclined. If you get springs, I highly recommend the Eibach (progressive) springs. They will improve handling under pressure but be about the same as stock springs under normal conditions. The will lower the car about an inch, benefiting handling with a lower CoG but also reducing ground clearance a bit. You can also stiffen the rear sway bar but I would do the shocks first. Lastly, lots of folks rave about installing the "Viggen rescue kit" or at least the steering rack brace. The complete kit is available from www.abbottracing.com or you can get a steering rack kit alone from Talaferino Saab, http://www.genuinesaab.com/. This kit is supposed to help with torque steer (actually tramlining). Bob
