Subject: Re: Clunk noise in driver's side front wheel

I've had the same thing from my 01 9-3SE. My dealer just replace the tie-rod ends although probably not related. They also recently tightened the sub-frame which may be the cause. I have found that under extreme braking conditions with a bit of a turned wheels, the clunk would occur. Shortly after this occurance, it would happen againg while reversing with the wheels turned full to the right or left. I have always suspected this to be a CV joint but y dealer claims that it isn't. I guess that one of us will be right eventually.
