Well, it turns out that it was the exhaust valves of the #2 cylinder. I originally thought that it was the intake but this would have caused quite a lot of damage. Oddly enough, they also change the tie-rod ends. The car seems far too young for this but one of them had a ruptured boot. I guess they did not wish to take any chances. So far all is under warranty.
