Subject: noise from front wheel when turning sharply



My 1984 900S is making a clanking noise concurrent with wheel revolutions
when taking hard right turns. The noise seems to be originating from the
left front wheel. The outer left-side CV boot is torn, so I assume this is
the CV joint going? This is something I plan to fix over the next week or
so, just hoping it's not yet another problem with the front end.
