I do not have information specific for the 2002 9-3, but the same CD changer is used in the 9-5. This is the wires used for the CD changer connector in the 9-5: pin wire color/colour function 2 black right- 7 brown right+ 3 red/white left- 8 blue/white left+ 5 white I-BUS 11 green I-BUS 6 red 12V 12 black ground Do NOT connect anything to the I-BUS wires! The I-BUS is the vehicles instrument bus (a standard vehicle CAN-bus) and connects many of the electronic boxes in the vehicle. The wire colors/colours may differ between the 9-3 and the 9-5. The four right/left wires is the audio signal from the CD changer to the audio head unit. The signal is balanced (like in pro audio gear), not single ended (like in consumer audio gear). The wires should be twisted (right- with right+, left- with left+) and should be easily found even if they have different colors/colours. The 12V is permanently on (circuit named "+30"). No "accessory +12V" is available. All control functions for the CD changer is sent over the instrument bus. -- G–ran Larsson http://www.nospam.com/saab/
