I have a medical condition which means that the activation of drivers air bag would break my neck. Therefore, I asked Lime Garage Leamington to disable the drivers air bag. They said they couldn't unless I obtained a Drs note stating that my medical condition necesitated it. Then to contact Saab UK for their consent which they denied. I explained that my neck would be broken and they cited liability excuses. I said I would sign a disclaimer and add a warning sticker in the car but they did not want to know. The 6 year old car which I have just bought is a lethal weapon to myself if the airbag explodes. This is BIG BROTHER gone mad!!! Peugeot, I understand have switches to disable passenger air bags for the benefit of people whom want to carry children in the front passenger compartment. What right do Saab have when they do not own my car, I own it. Is this a plain case of DISCRIMINATION?
