Oft times, when something fails, other things can fail at the same time, but I've discovered, they are often unrelated other than a timing thing. The clicking battery is a pretty sure sign of a failed battery, particulary if it won't charge back up. The alternator does a pretty good job of charging, even for a partially discharged battery, but if it is close to dead, it can't seem to handle that at all, it will only provide enough to keep the engine running. Unless you have already replaced the battery, put it on a home charger and let it fully charge, or if the store that sold the battery is handy, they will usually recharge it for free. If the battery is good, it will hold the charge. Otherwise, well...new batteries can be had for good prices at the local parts stores! Brandon
