This car is teatering on the edge of non existance. ie i don't want to put much money into it. Thanks for the suggestions... They wll help me in trouble shooting where the true issue is. If it starts overheating, it is a symptom of something going wrong in the system; - not enough coolant in the system - radiator clogged with rust - backflush or replace it - radiator loosing capacity because the zig-zag copper foil between the channels is disintegrating - replace radiator - thermostat not opening properly - replace it - water pump loosing capacity due to internal corrosion - rebuild/replace - leaking head gasket or cracked head - do a compression test Taking out the thermostat or mounting another fan is just fighting the symptoms, not curing any problem. ------------------------------------------- MH '72 97 '77 96 '78 95 '79 96 http://go.to/saab96
