I have a '94 900SE V6 (automatic) 135,000miles, and I really love this car. The fuel comsumption for me is about 26-28mpg (US) in mixed driving and I've seen 29-30 with strictly highway driving (I swear the gas milage has improved with age!). I was dissapointed to find out after buying this car that the engine is made by GM, but later I found out that the engine was designed by Saab and built at a GM plant in the UK- that made me feel a little better. The V6 is a very smooth engine with a lot of torque and power, plus it does not suffer from 'turbo lag' (the V6 isn't a turbo, do the math). The only real downfall I've had with the engine itself is the timing belt, which has to be changed every 30,000miles (I've found an independant shop that will do it for $300-400). There is a suspension upgrade for the 94 900 that brings it up to 95 and later specs (no sure exactly how much different it is). I just had that done (The old suspension was starting to show its age) and the car drives like a DREAM now! Its like you're floating on a cloud. Nobody believes that my 94 is as old as I say it is, since it is the new body style, it looks like a much newer car. The V6 900 is also very fast (jumps up to speed in no time, top speed is 140mph, and it gets there in a matter of seconds!) [Note: *The writer of this message does not advise that people reach top speed in their Saabs. Even though the cars are quite stable and capable at these speeds, you might have to go home and change your underwear after you pass that state trooper on the highway!* ] Other than a few annoyances (timing belt), the car is very nice. Hope this helped! -Chris '99 9-3 '94 900SE V6 '87 9000S R.I.P. :*-( "PANDA" <polandanopsamta.onet.pl> wrote in message news:beuqhv$js0$1nopsam.onet.pl... > Any suggestions to this model? > What about fuel consumption? > > -- > Pozdrawiam > [polandanopsamta.onet.pl] > >
