If you don't have a floor jack, you might want to check out a deal
that Sears has with a 3 ton floor jack and a set of jack stands
thrown in for "free". Not too expensive and well worth the time
savings if you have a storage location.
There's a "nub" under the front of your car where you can put a
floor jack and take up the whole front end at once. Put the stands
under the fixed frame, lower onto stands, and you're all set.
Of course, I'm sure I don't have to tell you to NEVER work on a
car on a jack, only on properly located jack stands. You don't
want to hear the stories of guys that made a mistake on that
point.
