All these are compeeling arguments for hands free systems. I agree that one shouldn't phone and drive and it amazes me to see the women of Toronto yakking away while driving. Four years ago while driving into the office, I was involved (as a victim) of a four car pile-up. There was a gentleman behind me in a fairly old Camry and I was in my Honda CRV at the time. This young lady in her twenties was bombing up Jarvis Street in a red Jetta and probably doing 70-80Km. I caught a glimpse of her as she careened into the poor Camry who then hit me very hard, as I distinctly saw her cell phone fly out of her hand. When we all sort of recovered (except for the poor fellow in the Camry who needed some attention), I saw and heard the young lady tell the officer that her car lost control. BS, I said to the officer and told him everything I saw. She got nailed and righfully so. When I got my 01 9-3, I immediately put the Motorola HF kit to go with my V-60G. It has been a blessing as I only do "one-touch" dialing when driving and if need be will dial at a red light. Yea, so it costs a few bucks for a HF kit but there a cheap one that work great out there too. I agree with proposed legislature for HF in cars. Well tha't my rant...
