Bob, I have a burnt valve on my 9000T 2L and am most of the way through taking it all apart -- I started with the camshaft cover, then pulled the head, and am now getting the timing cover off to work on the chain guides. I've never been this deep into an engine before so it's a real challenge -- and the turbo makes it even more so. It's all do-able, but certainly not easy...and I still have to get it all put back together. My advice is, if you're reasonably equipped with tools, have a manual (I have Haynes which is ok but not great), lots of patience, and lots of time, you might have a go at it. But, if I could afford it, I'd spend the $$$ and have it done professionally. There are too many unknowns that the manual doesn't explain, and I'm afraid about getting it back together.... Rod.
