It's actually a fairly common failure on 9000's. The contacts inside the ignition switch get corroded up and the car won't start. When it's in a failure mode turning the key usually results in absolutely nothing, no sound, zero. When my 93 9000CDET had the problem it was worst when the interior of the car got really hot for some reason. The switch was pretty easy to replace and not all that expensive online. -Fred --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
